Game rules

You can play with friends or on your own — the rules are almost the same.

There is a deck of 50 cards. Each card names a well-known historical event, but does not show its year.

Your task is to lay out every card from the deck in chronological order, from the earliest event to the latest.

How a game goes

You start with 3 cards in your hand. On your turn you try to add any card from your hand to the cards already on the table so that the chronology is not broken (events within the same year can go in any order).

• On a correct move the card stays on the table and its year becomes visible.

• On a wrong move the card returns to your hand.

After every move, right or wrong, you draw a new card from the deck (as long as the deck is not empty).

Winning (playing with friends)

If you get rid of your cards before your friends do, you win.

Winning (playing solo)

In a solo game you get 10 lives — the count goes down with every mistake.

If you get rid of the cards in your hand before you run out of lives, you win.

Since you draw a new card after every move, winning means playing through the whole deck of 50 cards.
